Chris Worfolk is one of the creators behind Nightmare 90210 and the writer of the first episode which is now available to stream from the site on the indie movies channel. He's a busy guy, after all he does own the network that owns this site! But he managed to fit in some quick words with us.
US: Nightmare 90210 is now available for the world to stream. Nervous?
CHRIS: Yes, but for different reasons than you would expect. I always have a certain cringe factor when showing it to an audience though because I'm scared they will say "yeah it's good" when really they are thinking "what the hell is this crap?"
US: You'd rather them just come out and say it?
CHRIS: I don't know really. I'd rather them just love it (laughs).
US: How did the show come around?
CHRIS: We had a film date set up to do some videos for Tungston Puppy but that pretty much feel through. I had a script I had written recently for a pilot of a dark satirical drama though so we made a quick switch.
US: How did Jimmy Spandex become involved?
CHRIS: I honestly don't know (laughs). But somehow we were brainstorming ideas and Craig [Stanley] came up with the idea of combining it with his idea for Jimmy Spandex. So that's what we did.
US: We watched the pilot episode, suprisingly short credits for one of your productions.
CHRIS: Ha ha yeah. Well, I couldn't really expand as it was all done from the character names as if they had done it so it was less fun for endless credits. The opening credits were needlessly long anyway. Well, there was a reason but they were still pushing it.
US: Were you naked when you came out of the shower?
CHRIS: No, I just took my top off, I still had my trousers on.
US: Were you nervous doing that scene?
CHRIS: Suprisingly, I wasn't. If I was totally naked I may have thought twice but I didn't really think anything of it.
US: All great artists have to suffer for their art right?
CHRIS: (laughs) yeah.
US: Can we expect more episodes?
CHRIS: Well I would rather you didn't so it's even better if we deliver some. I'm hoping there will be more episodes, I can't guarantee it but we have plenty of ideas to keep going with.
